- The Shooting: The attackers fired 5 to 7 rounds at close range, specifically targeting the front passenger seat where the actor was sitting.
- Injuries: While Tiger escaped severe injury, his driver (Firdaus) suffered a gunshot wound to his left hand. An auto-rickshaw driver in the vicinity was also injured and remains hospitalised. Investigation & Arrests
The Mumbai Police Crime Branch immediately launched a massive manhunt, deploying 15 specialized teams.
- Shooters Apprehended: Within hours, all three shooters were arrested by police at the Kota Railway Station in Rajasthan while attempting to flee. They have been identified as Phool Singh, Hrithik Kumar, and Rehan.
- The Lawrence Bishnoi Connection: An unverified audio clip and social media posts circulating online claim responsibility on behalf of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang. The message allegedly warned the film industry against working with Salman Khan. The Mumbai Police are actively verifying these claims.
- Political Reactions: Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis stated that "no one will be spared" and confirmed that legal procedures are underway to seek custody of gang masterminds. Deputy CM Eknath Shinde also visited Tiger’s family to assure them of heightened police protection.
Meanwhile, the All Indian Cine Workers Association (AICWA) has strongly condemned the attack, calling out security lapses and demanding stringent protection protocols for Bollywood celebrities facing open threats.
